    This .WAV editor can synthesize almost any sound using noise- and tone-generation functions. You can adjust amplification, reverb, echo and flanging, and set sampled sounds to music. Cool Edit includes a batch processor and supports .PCM, .VOC, .SMP, .AU and a host of other file formats.

    This "image is everything" program offers an impressive palette of functions for handling most graphics file formats. In addition to basic editing features such as scaling and contrast adjustment, you can dither images and convert them between formats. Graphic Workshop can also create quick thumbnail files and convert full-color digitized photographs for use as black-and-white clip art.

    Users can verify links between executable files and DLLs with Link Check.
